Sangita Mahanta

Biography:
Sangita Mahanta has dedicated 14 years to teaching Assamese, where her passion for fostering a positive classroom environment truly shines. She believes that a supportive atmosphere enhances learning and encourages students to express themselves. Through engaging activities and a focus on cultural richness, she inspires her students to embrace the beauty of the Assamese language. Her commitment to their growth goes beyond academics, nurturing their confidence and creativity along the way.

Education:

• M.A. in Assamese from Gauhati University 
• D. El. Ed. from NIOS.
• Certificate in computer NIIT
• One Year Script writing and journalism course from IGNOU.

Experience:

• 14 years teaching experience in primary, middle and secondary level in different institutions.
• Reporter cum sub- editor in Prag News Guwahati.

• Script writer in Doordarshan Guwahati .
• Sub-editor in Assamese child magazine “Rongmon” .
• Presently working as a coordinator (Sub- Assamese ) in Axel Public  School, Guwahati.

Interests and Hobbies: listening music , writing, spending quality time with family and also with the students.
