Academics
In Axel Public School we believe that learning occurs both at individual as well as peer group level and every student is an individual with special needs and abilities. As such we provide a learning environment which is physically, psychologically and socially safe. As such we motivate learners to develop effective study skills and become life-long learners. Axel Public School follows the system of continuous and comprehensive evaluation as recommended by CBSE. CCE refers to a system of school based evaluation of student that covers all aspects of student development. It is a developmental process of student which emphasises a two-fold objective. These objectives are continuity in evaluation and assessment of broad based learning and behavioural outcomes on the other. It includes assessment in scholastic and co-scholastic aspect in students growth. Students will be evaluated both in scholastic and non-scholastic areas as per the guidelines and norms of CBSE.
Curriculum
For Preparatory, Nursery, and KG Subjects like Language, Math, Phonics, Rhymes, Thematic Teaching and Concept, Montessori Training, Computer, Craft, Art, Music, and Dance, etc. are taught through the play way method. The Children are introduces to Hindi in Class KG.

To develop the speaking, listening, reading, writing, spelling and handwriting skills the students are provided with various activities.
MATHEMATICS
Through practical situations and activities, the students acquire mathematical concepts and skills.
EVS
Through the use of the outdoor environment, field trips, school labs, the student’s curiosity and reasoning power is stimulated. Through practical work they learn to acquire the skills of observation and develop their powers of deduction.
INDIAN LANGUAGES
In class 3 students are introduced to Assamese.
From class V students can opt for either Assamese or Sanskrit.
Hindi is compulsory up to Class 8.
They are provided with regular opportunities to talk about their work in order to increase their confidence and
all subjects are conducted in a happy and stable learning environment.
SCIENCE
Stimulates and excites students curiosity and are based on experiments and hands — on activities.
HISTORY, CIVICS,GEOGRAPHY & ECONOMICS
History, Civics, Geography & Economics ( from class 9 ) are taught as Social Science. Students develop an interest in their past as well as present and through a project, research work, models and presentations. At all levels, Informatics and Communication Technology, Music, Art, Craft, Yoga and Physical Education and Sport are core subjects of the curriculum.

Rules and Regulations
1. Students are expected to attend school in the school uniformStudents must attend the school regularly and punctuality is to be maintained
2. Children must not be sent with ornaments and jewellery of any kind. The school will not be responsible for the loss of these itemsBelongings of children such as umbrellas, raincoats, handkerchiefs, tiffin carriers, water bottles, pencil boxes, etc. should be marked
3. Parents must send all the books covered and the name of the owner properly and clearly written
4. To acquire the greater facility in the study of English, English only should be spoken in the school premises
5. Students are not allowed to attend when ailing or suffering from an infectious diseaseStudents must complete their homework regularly
6. Every student attending school should be obliged to take part in all school activities for their all-round development and no one will be excused except for valid reasonsParents / Guardians are not allowed to see their children or interview teachers during school hours
7. Parents/ Guardians cannot dictate to the school authorities on any matter. But suggestions are welcome which will help in the proper growth and development of the schoolIt is important to make the children realize the importance of discipline, courtesy, respect, obedience.
8. Any act of indiscipline, insubordinate interference in the administration, disrespect to any teacher, disrespect to any religion or community may result in serious disciplinary action.
9. Children are not allowed to bring any kind of mobiles or electronic gadgets to school.
10. No books, periodicals or newspaper of objectionable nature should be brought to school
