Bihu Workshop

The 10 days Bihu workshop, which started on 13 March comes to an end today on 23 March 2023.

In the workshop, the participant students learned about the authentic flavour of the state dance form from experienced mentors. Apart from giving them the technical essence of the Bihu Dance form, students were also trained on vocals, and instruments like Dhol, Pepa, Gogona ,Taal etc. The aim of the workdshop was to inculcate the true taste of Assamese Bihu dance with an equal emphasis to carry the culture and tradition forward.

On the final day of the workshop, the participants showcased their newly acquired skills in their performance. The participants were showered with appreciation and applause for their mesmerizing show. The mentors were felicitated with a fulam Gamusa and a token of appreciation, the participants were awarded a certificate each. The parents and family members of the participants were invited to attend the performance. The entire ambience of Axel reverberated with the "sapar of the dhol" announcing the arrival of ‘Bohag’.
